What child (or adult) doesn’t love playing with ooey, gooey slime? This Pinterest project is hours of fun AND an easy activity to do with the kids.

Believe it or not, there are many ways to make homemade slime. I opted to use glue, water and Borax detergent booster as ingredients and added food color and glitter. Your kids can definitely help. I suggest letting them pick their favorite colors and add the glitter. They can mix and measure almost everything but let an adult handle the detergent.
There is a small amount of cleaning product in the slime so make sure that your kiddos keep the slime out of their mouths.
School glue (I would suggest using clear, but any type will work)
Borax Detergent Booster
Glitter (grain glitter works best)
Combine 4 ounces of glue with 4 ounces of water and mix well. Add food coloring and glitter. Mix well. Combine 1 tablespoon of Borax Detergent Cleaner with 1 cup of water in a separate bowl. Mix until Borax is dissolved. Pour this into glue mixture and mix slowly. The slime will start to form. Keep mixing as everything hardens. Some water will be left over. Remove slime from bowl and lay it out. I put mine on a plate and let it set there while it began to dry.
Place the slime in plastic baggies to keep it clean and prevent it from completely drying out. The slime can get messy. Keep it away from carpet because it can get stuck in the fibers and difficult to get out.
