The Adventures of Seri and Abi is a blog featuring the 3- and 4-year-old daughters of Lili Rodriguez and Alyx Pace. They go on “adventures” almost every week to a new place around East Texas and share their experiences on their blog, AdventuresOfSeriAndAbi.com. This time they visited the Center for Earth and Space Science Education at Tyler Junior College. The center has a gift shop, exhibits, play area and a domed theater. You can also check them out on Facebook and follow them on Instagram at @adventuresofseriandabi_.
The Center for Earth & Space Science Education –
1411 E. Lake St., Tyler
If you have never explored the center you should. Our first stop was the domed theater. It is an actual IMAX theater! How cool it is that?
You can (while watching shows projected on the screen) fly high with the birds or dive deep with the whales — all from the comfort of a chair.
It was such a neat experience watching the show. The girls loved it.
The theater offers several different shows and show times. You must go and see it in person.
After the show, the girls raced downstairs to the play area. It was so clean and the girls were overjoyed to get to play.
I would advise parents to let your kiddies play first to get the wiggles out of their system before that have to sit through a show.
The area has scuba gear for kids to play around in, microscopes for discoveries and a big fish tank full of underwater cuties.
Their favorite part was the blow-up raft. They could have played in it for an hour.
After the girls convinced us to buy them a treat at the center’s gift shop, they had fun watching the butterflies outside and running around the beautifully landscaped TJC campus.
Visiting the center is a perfect Saturday morning adventure. The campus is quiet and you can quickly fill two hours with fun.
All our love,
